2024 VBS - Rock Solid Truth

June 25 -28, 2024

God’s Truth Never Changes

Get ready for an awesome Vacation Bible School this year! In a world where things are always changing, we’re focusing on God’s Rock Solid Truth that never wavers. Everyone has their own opinions, but what matters most is what God says!

This year, VBS is $25 for in-person attendance and $15 for online participation. But here's the exciting part: VBS now spans FOUR days and offers an experience like no other! From live, uplifting praise and worship to a special program for preteens, accommodations for those who may have a special need or challenge (TRIBE 139), and more, VBS promises to be an incredible event for all kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade. For busy parents, we've included additional add-on options like beforecare starting at 3 pm, dinner tickets, and extra t-shirts. Plus, you can pick up your VBS packet in advance for a quick drop-off and no waiting at registration!

If it’s a better fit for your family, we're thrilled to offer an engaging online VBS experience. Your child will receive craft materials, snacks, and shirts delivered right to your doorstep, allowing them to join in the fun and learn about God from ANYWHERE!

Whatever you're using this time for, rest assured that your child will be safe, well taken care of, and have a blast at VBS! Don’t delay, register today because space is limited!

WHAT IS VBS?

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. At Zion Church, it is a four-day, three-hour, adventure for kids like no other! Your child will encounter the love and grace of Christ through music, crafts, games, and Bible lessons.

WHAT GRADE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR?

VBS is open for kids finishing Kindergarten through 6th grade in Spring 2024.

HOW CAN I SKIP THE LINES AT CHECK IN?

If you would like to save time and skip the lines, you can pick up your child’s packet for check in on Sunday, June 23, 2024. This will include your child’s VBS t-shirt, name tags for the week, and your security tag for pickup. By getting this material early, you will not have to walk your child inside and can drop off your child in our carpool line.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

Refunds are available until June 14, 2024. After June 14, 2024, there are no refunds.

FRIEND REQUESTS

VBS is an amazing time to make new friends. You can submit one friend request, and that friend must ALSO request your child. We organize groups by grade; the friend request must be in the same grade as your child. While we cannot guarantee every child’s request, we will do our best to accommodate all requests if the above requirements have been met. In addition, our kids move around in their rotations with all groups in the same age category so most likely your child will see their same-age group friends for a large portion of the time.

DO YOU PROVIDE VBS TEAM MEMBER (VOLUNTEER) DISCOUNTS?

We provide meals and childcare for the children of VBS Team Members who are 18 months to sixth grade. If you have a child younger than Kindergarten age, let us know when you register so we can provide childcare for the full night during VBS while you serve. We do not provide a registration discount. We know many adults are giving up valuable work time to serve at VBS. We cannot run VBS without you. Register at zionchurch.org/vbs to serve at your campus!

ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?

Even though we work very hard to keep our price as low as possible, we understand not all families can afford the fees. Scholarships are available upon request. Please email and our team will assist you with further instructions.

HOW DO I MAKE A GENERAL VBS DONATION OR DONATION FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?

If you would like to bless a child or family by providing a scholarship or supporting VBS you can do so by clicking here. Send us an email to let us know your donation amount and give us any information you want to share.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Please have your child wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes each day to VBS. Your child will be given a VBS T-shirt when they check in on the first day (or at early packet pickup on 6/23). Your child must wear their VBS T-shirt every day to attend. We will have a beach-themed day on Day 1, Monday, June 24th (no two-piece swimsuits, modest coverage please). When you register your child for VBS, you can purchase extra VBS T-shirts for $10.

WHEN DO I DROP OFF AND PICK UP MY CHILD EACH DAY?

Doors open at 5:00 PM each day. If you picked up your child’s VBS packet in advance they will have their name tags for each day and their shirt. If they have their name tag and VBS shirt, they can do our carpool style drop off, entering from Cipriano Road (the side with Dunkin Donuts). VBS Team Members will walk your child inside.

If you do not have your name tag or misplaced it, an adult must walk your child into one of our kiosks to check in your child. Kids cannot check in/check out by themselves.

VBS ends at 8:30 PM each night (Thursday @ 9:00 pm) and all children must be picked up by 9:00 PM. Every parent must come inside with their security tag to pick up their child.

WHAT IF I MADE A MISTAKE ON MY REGISTRATION?

If you selected the incorrect campus, or grade, or accidentally registered the wrong child, please email us at with the detailed information and our team will assist you.

AS A PARENT, CAN I STAY ON CAMPUS DURING VBS?

For the safety of the children, no adults may be onsite who have not been background checked and cleared to participate. We invite you to serve with us and experience VBS with your child. zionchurch.org/vbs

CAN FRIENDS/SIBLINGS IN DIFFERENT GRADES BE IN THE SAME GROUP?

No, we group kids by the school grade that they are finishing in Spring 2024. This helps kids make new friends with their peers and ensures an age-appropriate safe and fun learning environment.

MY CHILD IS INVITING A FRIEND WHO DOESN’T GO TO ZION, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN THE SAME GROUP?

VBS is a great time to invite your friends. We create the program strategically knowing we have many new friends/guests attending. If they are in the same grade, please add their name to the registration form for a friend request. Both children must be in the same grade and request each other.

WHAT IF MY CHILD WANTS TO CHANGE GROUPS DURING VBS?

For your child’s safety, please do not move your child to another group on your own. Groups are formed so we know where your child is at all times. Leaders are not authorized to move children to a different group. The VBS Registration Team must approve any group changes. Email us at .

WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE AT VBS IF MY CHILD HAS SPECIAL NEEDS?

Our T.R.I.B.E. 139 program is designed so children with special needs can participate in VBS through a variety of modifications and accommodations. After marking the special needs box on the VBS registration form, please complete the secondary intake form (provided in the confirmation email) to help us best prepare for your child. If your child is bringing their care provider, please have the care provider register as a VBS Team Member and attend one of our training meetings so they know what to anticipate. All VBS Team Members must be registered to participate in VBS.

WHAT IS THE VBS CELEBRATION?

Parents are invited to join us on the last night of VBS on June 27th beginning at 7:00 PM for a special word of encouragement and to see our children showcase what they’ve learned during the week.

MY CHILD HAS AN EPI-PEN, HOW SHOULD I SEND IT?

Please send your child’s EpiPen in a plastic zip-top bag with their first and last name and allergen written on it to the first day of VBS. Please give the Epi-Pen to your child’s leader when you drop off your child. The group leader will keep the Epi-Pen with them at all times.

MY CHILD HAS A RESCUE INHALER, HOW SHOULD I SEND IT?

Please send your child’s rescue inhaler (and spacer, if needed) in a plastic zip-top bag with their first and last name written on it to the first day of VBS. Please give the rescue inhaler to your child’s group leader when you drop off your child for the day. Their group leader will keep the inhaler with them at all times.

WILL YOU BE ABLE TO ADMINISTER MEDICATION TO MY CHILD?

Thank you for understanding that we will not administer any over-the-counter or prescription medications during Vacation Bible School, except in the case of an Epi-Pen or a rescue inhaler because these are life-saving medications.

DO YOU PROVIDE SNACKS FOR KIDS? WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES?

Our snacks will be posted at the registration table the week of VBS and emailed to families before the start of VBS. If your child has food allergies, please provide an alternative snack for him/her if you see a snack that they can’t eat. Make sure this snack is labeled with their first and last name, in a ziplock bag.

Serve at VBS

WHY SHOULD I SERVE AT KIDS VBS?

VBS is an opportunity for Kids to disconnect from distractions, make new friends, have a whole lot of fun, and learn who Jesus is and the truth of His word! Kids today hear what their friends say, what music and media say, and it can be confusing to navigate. This year we are teaching them what God says and that His Word is the “Rock Solid Truth”. Through these intentional lessons, kids learn church is also fun, grow closer in their relationship with God, and make friends. Come be an influential leader in a kid's life!

WHO CAN SERVE?

Anyone who loves Jesus, attends Zion Church, and is in 7th grade and up is welcome to serve.

  • Rotation Leader (Recreation, Bible, Craft, or Music)
