Salute!
“Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.” This is the definition of leadership according to John Maxwell. Maxwellleadership.com goes on to elaborate on what makes a great leader: “Being a great leader is all about having a genuine willingness and a true commitment to lead others to achieve a common vision and goals through positive influence.”
I see these qualities embodied in the women leaders here at Zion Church. This is what I see.
- You are genuine. Thank you for serving out of a heart that genuinely desires to love God and His people.
- You are willing. Thank you for being willing to sacrifice your time and energy to serve our community.
- You are true. Thank you for aligning your actions with the truths of God’s Word and for serving from a desire to walk in the truth.
- You are committed. Thank you for committing to rigorous schedules, training and tasks in order to accomplish the Lord’s work.
- You are visionaries. Thank you for seeing the end goal of loving people to Jesus and for serving with that goal continually in mind.
- You are positive. Thank you for radiating a positive attitude that is welcoming to all.
- You are biblical influencers. Thank you for inspiring countless people to live lives that honor the Lord Jesus Christ.
I see you. I see you in the food pantry. I see you in the parking lot. I see you in children’s church. I see you in the cafe. I see you preach. I see you sing. I see you pray. I see the women leaders of Zion bringing glory to God week after week and our church is thriving because of you.
It brings me joy to see you smile, to watch you succeed and to witness God’s goodness in and through you.
To every woman who leads at Zion Church, I salute you! “Do not wait for leaders. Do it alone, person to person.” Mother Teresa
With Love,
First Lady Vicki Battle
